NDIS Support Workers

Everyday support with personal care, daily living and getting out into your community.

An Alabaster Health support worker crouches beside a teenage girl with Down syndrome, encouraging her as she makes her own lunch in a home kitchen.

What it involves

Our support workers help with the practical parts of the day: personal care, meals, medication prompts, getting to appointments and taking part in the things you actually want to do. They work to your routine and your goals rather than a script, and they sit alongside our nurses and support coordinators so one team holds the whole picture.

What is included

The things this support covers day to day. If something you need is not on the list, ask us anyway.

  • Personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming
  • Meal preparation and support with eating and drinking
  • Medication prompting and monitoring, with registered nurse oversight where it is needed
  • Household tasks, laundry, shopping and keeping the home safe
  • Getting to appointments, work, study and social activities
  • Building daily living skills so you do more for yourself over time
  • Sleepover, active night and 24-hour rostered support
  • Short-term and emergency respite so family carers get a break

Who it is for

NDIS participants who need a hand with daily living at home or in the community, whether that is a few hours a week or support around the clock.

What makes it different

A consistent, matched team rather than whoever happens to be free. Our support workers are backed by registered nurses and coordinators, so clinical needs and everyday support are handled by the same organisation.

How this support starts

01

You get in touch

Send a referral or call. Tell us about the person, their plan, and what they need day to day.

02

We assess and match

We meet you, confirm what your funding covers, and put forward the workers or clinicians who actually fit.

03

Support begins

Your team steps in, and stays. We review with you regularly and adjust as things change.

Am I eligible

Eligibility depends on the scheme, and the referral process is a little different for each. Choose the one that applies to you.
